1979 Joined ASCII Corporation as Senior Editor of Monthly ASCII Magazine. Then engaged in software development and the MS-DOS licensing business.
1982 Elected to the board of ASCII Corporation.
1986 Assumed the post of President for Microsoft Co.,Ltd.
when the Japanese subsidiary was set up.
1991 Along with being Chairman of Microsoft Co.,Ltd., he became Director
of Far East R&D of Microsoft Corporation. He was responsible for the development systems and applications for Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
1993 Promoted to Senior Director, Advanced Technology, Far East of Microsoft Corporation.
1997 Became Senior Director of Far East Interactive Media and Consumer Platform Strategy, Microsoft Corporation. Held the additional post of Chairman, WebTV Networks K.K.
