Prior to joining Entrust, Mr. Ryan was the Vice President and General Manager, Multimedia and Internet Solutions at Nortel and was responsible for the company`s global multimedia and Internet projects.

Between 1981 and 1995, Mr. Ryan held a variety of senior management positions at Nortel, including: Vice President and Business Manager, Meridian Integrated Solutions; Assistant Vice President, Marketing, Meridian 1 and Meridian Multimedia Business Solutions; Assistant Vice President, Marketing, Norstar and Terminals; Director of Marketing, Switching and Transmission (Northeast Region); Director of Customer Service Switching - Northeast Region, and; Controller (Northeast Region).

Mr. Ryan has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, and is a chartered accountant.
