Stitt lead Extreme Networks' successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) in April 1999. Stitt, with his sufficient experience in networking industry over 20 years, was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for 2001 for Technology and Communication, Northern California. Stitt was selected for this prestigious award based on his innovative vision, Extreme's rapid growth, and charitable endeavors.
