Thanks to AI and other cutting-edge digital tools, all aspects of the real world, from business to daily life, are undergoing digital transformation (DX). At the same time, the virtual online society known as the “metaverse” also appears to be growing. Ensuring the safe and secure development of this new Internet society requires not only reliable digital infrastructure and the assurance of cybersecurity, but also the development and standardization of new rules and legal frameworks that facilitate digital transactions and data flows. At Global Digital Summit 2022, Japanese and international business leaders, government officials, experts and other distinguished speakers will discuss how to foster “digital trust” for creating a highly convenient and reliable Internet society.
